    Eric has considerable experience in industry, academia, and Federal service. As an executive in the high technology sector, he was CTO at three publicly traded companies, a large private equity firm, and founded a VC-backed startup, with five exits in nine years. In academia, he is currently the Research Director of the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative at Virginia Tech, where he is also Research Professor of Computer Science and Public & International Affairs. Prior to Virginia Tech, he was a Research Professor of Computer Science at Georgetown University where he founded the Georgetown site of the National Science Foundation’s Security and Software Engineering Research Center. In Federal Service, he was recently the Assistant Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, focusing primarily on cybersecurity and telecommunications. Besides being an advisor to the President on R&D issues, he was an advisor to the National Security Council and the National Economic Council. Prior to OSTP, he served as the Chief Technology Officer of the Federal Communications Commission. He holds over 20 issued U.S. Patents and has authored over 20 communications standards documents and numerous journal publications. Dr. Burger has a S.B. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an M.B.A. in International Business Management from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium), and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

    For the past 25 years, Ray has led technology companies across multiple industry sectors including financial services, enterprise software, and aerospace. Previously, he led a specialty finance firm, Finance Technology Leverage LLC, and Creekstone Capital Management, a registered investment advisor. Prior to Creekstone, Mr. Conley was a fund manager at Palo Alto Investors and a private equity and venture capital partner at Oak Hill Capital. He has led over two dozen venture capital and leveraged buyout investments creating over $6 billion in market value, including Financial Engines (NASDAQ: FNGN), Telephia (NASDAQ: NLSN), and Limelight Networks (NASDAQ: LLNW). Mr. Conley began his career as a satellite propulsion engineer at Hughes Aircraft Company and later joined McKinsey & Company.

    Ray currently serves on the Board of directors of Reciprocity, Inc., the leading software provider of governance, risk, and compliance for information security. He is the inventor of the air-breathing ion rocket engine and has published research on the cause of aortic aneurysms. Ray is a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He holds the FINRA Series 79, 24, 63, and 7 licenses.

    Ray received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics with a concentration in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

    Barb has over 40 years experience as a senior leader in the Cybersecurity, Defense, Security, and Intelligence communities, both in the military and the private sector at CGI and The Boeing Company. While on active duty with the U.S. Army, she held a variety of command and staff positions in the U.S. and overseas, to include a combat tour in Iraq. She was responsible for Army concepts, doctrine, experimentation, and requirements; was the Commanding General, U.S. Army Intelligence Center; the Director of Intelligence for the Combined Joint Task Force-7 and Multi-National Forces-Iraq; the Director of Intelligence for the U.S. European Command, and the Deputy Chief, Central Security Service, for the National Security Agency, among others. Currently Barb is on the Boards of Radiance Technologies; Beacon Roofing Supply (NASDAQ:BECN); and the Strategic Advisory Boards of Sierra Nevada Corporation; Axellio, Inc; and Clarifai. Nonprofit roles include Chair, Cyber Advisory Council,  Cyber Huntsville; U.S. Space and Rocket Center Commission; Trustee, Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering. Barb is the CEO/President of BGF Enterprises LLC.

    Barb holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from Boston University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Missouri, and an honorary Doctorate of Law degree from Central Missouri State University. She is also a graduate of the U.S. Army War College, the Armed Forces Staff College, and the Military Intelligence Officer Basic and Advanced Courses.

    Joe is a retired Army Military Intelligence officer with a highly distinguished career in Intelligence Operations and Analysis, leadership, security, management, training, and human resources development. Joe has commanded soldiers in Korea, Bosnia, and the Middle East, including combat operations.  Joe is the Founder and President of Cognetix and serves as President, a commercial cybersecurity start-up focusing on insider threat and security operation centers.  Joe previously successfully served as President of Davidson Technologies, as well as its two Joint Ventures, Warfighter Solutions, and DTechLogic, where he was the catalyst for several M&A activities.  Joe also was General Manager for Minerva Engineering and served multiple roles for SAIC including Division Manager and Business Development Manager.  Dr. Green also serves as a Board Member for the Air Space and Missile Defense Association, and the Foundation Board for the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering.

    He holds a B.S. in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, an M.A. in Organizational Management, and a Ph.D. in Management and Leadership.

    Tim has over 40 years of experience within government and industry as a Naval Officer and Aviator, and in business.  In the Navy, his positions include Program Executive Officer for Naval Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons, Chief Engineer for the Naval Air Systems Command, and Commanding Officer of a strike fighter squadron flying combat missions in the Gulf War. He was President of SPARTA, a 1200 person, $380M company providing technical solutions primarily to U.S. Intelligence Agencies, and an Executive Vice President of Cobham, North America, providing corporate strategy in unmanned air and ground systems. He then became CEO of Vanilla Aircraft, LLC, a small business building and operating Ultra-long Endurance Unmanned Air Vehicles and, upon its acquisition, President of Vanilla Unmanned. He has served as Board Member and head of the Advocacy Committee for the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) and is currently on the Boards of Platform Aerospace, and SkyX.

    Tim received a Bachelors degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in American Political Affairs, and an Masters degree from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in Aeronautical Engineering.

    Jim has over 30 years of civilian, reserve, and active duty Naval experience in design, development, systems engineering, integration, and operation of various space-based and terrestrial networks. He served as the Chief Engineer of Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR, formerly SPAWAR), and has also served in various assignments in fleet maintenance, ship and weapons systems, and network systems operations.  Throughout his civilian and military career, Jim has developed a high level of expertise and deep understanding of the specialized aerospace applications and systems that are critical to our National intelligence and defense.

    He holds an Masters degree in Technology Management from the Wharton School and School of Engineering and Applied Science, a Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Intellectual Property from Villanova University School of Law, and a Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering from West Virginia University. 

  • Reg is the former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense of Intelligence and Security in the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). While at DoD, Hyde was the civilian equivalent of a three-star general. He was responsible for a vast portfolio that included oversight and policy guidance for core areas of the Defense Intelligence Enterprise, the uniformed service components and agencies that make up Military Intelligence. Hyde’s tenure at the DoD concluded a three-decade career as a CIA operations officer. He served in four overseas assignments, including two as chief of station, the senior agency official in a country. His experience includes a number of senior positions that focused on integrating operations and technology. Hyde was promoted to the Senior Intelligence Service in 2002, where he served in a number of senior operations, management and leadership positions. While at the DoD, he worked with Secretary of Defense Robert Gates to help integrate and build strategic intelligence capabilities to enhance U.S. military operations at a time when the U.S. was engaged in the War on Terrorism as well as the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition to numerous other awards for specific achievements, Hyde was awarded the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal from CIA Director John Brennan in December 2013 and the Secretary of Defense Medal for Meritorious Civilian Service in March 2013.

    During his career he served twice related to In-Q-Tel, working in the Interface Center when it was founded and serving as the Senior Representative to the Customer and Member of the Investment Team.  In these roles he met with companies and evaluated technology investments.  Following his retirement from Government, he founded the University of Alabama’s Cybersecurity Institute which he ran for five years while continuing to consult with the Government and Private Sector and serve on Corporate Boards and Boards of Advisors.  Since his full-time return to DC, he has continued this work, focusing heavily on M&A.

    Hyde earned both his Bachelors degree in Economics and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama. He also earned a Masters degree in Public Policy and International Relations from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Diplomacy.

    Greg is the Managing Principal of Teleolytics, LLC, founded in 2014 for the focused commercialization of agent technology originally developed for the Department of Defense. Recently serving as the Chief Scientist for the Director of Operational Test and Evaluation, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Greg developed a long-term science and technology strategy for the office. Earlier, he was the Chief Scientist of the United States Air Force, focused on applications of artificial intelligence and autonomy. Before government service, Greg served as President of Charles River Analytics, a research and development company he co-founded that applies computational intelligence to transform customers' data into knowledge that drives timely and effective decision-making. Greg served on the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board for eight years, contributing to multiple summer studies and laboratory peer reviews. He was a member of the National Research Council (NRC) Committee on Human-Systems Integration for over ten years, served on the DoD Human Systems Technology Area Review and Assessment (TARA) Panel, and founding Chair of the Human Systems Division of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA).

    Greg holds Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics, all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
