Jay jesse | Principal

Jay is passionate about and has special skills and excitement in growing the value of small to mid-size federal contracting companies. During the first decade of his career, Jay worked for a large defense contractor where he was a successful software engineer, manager and customer liaison. He developed many successful data analytics and AI products for customers such as the Air Force Research Laboratory. In 1998, he founded Intelligent Software Solutions and, as CEO and Chairman, grew ISS into a thriving and highly profitable, mid-sized Federal technology provider, peaking at nearly $200M in revenue. ISS developed many complex data tools for the defense department and the U.S. intelligence community to name a few; at its peak, ISS employed over 800 individuals, mostly software and systems engineers. In 2016, with help from a highly successful private equity group, he brought ISS together with other special companies to form Polaris Alpha where he was President and a Board member. He strategically guided the acquisition and combination of these companies to form the premier mid-size contractor, at 1,500 employees, in the industry that was quickly acquired by the Parsons Company (NYSE: PSN). Jay stayed on as an EVP until early 2020 to provide strategic leadership as the company continued its transformation into the market leader it is today.
